The Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle is a door-to-door transportation service that takes you from your lodge in Monteverde to Tamarindo. 

Our modern Van equipped with WiFi and A/C will pick you up at your lodge in Arenal and take you to your destination in Tamarindo, Conchal, Potrero, or Flamingo. 

Shuttle Duration From Arenal To Tamarindo

The Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle takes approximately 3.5 hours. 

Your shuttle will pick you and other fellow travelers from hotels near your departure area, and you will go on a 4.5-hour ride to your destination. Your driver will make a 20-minute stop approximately halfway through, so you can stretch, grab a snack or use the restrooms. 

Shuttle Departure Times From Arenal To Tamarindo

The Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle runs twice a day during the high season, from December through April, and once a day during the offseason, from May through November. 

The first Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle departs from Arenal at 9 am and picks you up at your lodge between 9 and 10 am. The second Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle, available only during the high season, departs Arenal between 1:00 and 2:00 pm. 

As mentioned above, the Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle is a door-to-door transportation service. You will be picked up directly at your hotel or AirB&B, as long as they are within a reasonable distance’s Arenal perimeter.

Note: The precise pickup time at your location will depend on the number of travelers we need to bring on board from other hotels nearby, and that is why we provide a range of pickup times instead of a specific time.

Shuttle Arrival Times From Arenal To Tamarindo

The Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle arrives at Tamarindo twice a day during the high season, from December through April, and once a day during the offseason, from May through November. 

The first Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle arrives at Tamarindo at around 2 pm. The second Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle, available only during the high season, comes at Tamarindo at around 6 pm. 

As mentioned above, the Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle is door-to-door transportation. You will be dropped off directly at your hotel or AirB&B, as long as they are within a reasonable distance between Tamarindo, Conchal, Potrero, or Flamingo’s perimeter.

Shuttle Prices From Arenal to Tamarindo

The Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle offers an affordable transportation solution for travelers from Arenal to Tamarindo, Conchal, Potrero, or Flamingo.

The regular price for the Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle is $67 for adults and $33.50 for kids under 12 years old, including the entire ride, a piece of luggage, and a carry-on. Your carry-on will travel inside the shuttle, while your luggage will go in the shuttle’s luggage area.

Extra items: As mentioned above, the regular price for the Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle includes a piece of luggage and a carry-on. For additional luggage or a surfboard (up to 6 feet long max), the extra charge is $15 apiece. If you have to carry one of these items, you will need to pay the additional cost to the driver in cash at the pickup time. 

Shuttle Capacity From Arenal to Tamarindo

The Arenal to Tamarindo Shuttle’s maximum capacity is up to 22 passengers so a big shuttle will pick you up. There can also be multiple shuttles running on a particular day. However, we will ensure your family travels together in the same shuttle.

During the high season of tourism, it is common to see up to four shuttles operating daily between December and April, so it is essential to book in advance to reserve your seats. 

Note For Solo Travelers: We need at least two passengers to operate this tour. We will try to find another passenger if you are a solo traveler. However, if we cannot find another passenger, we will need to charge your card the equivalent of two passengers.
