Sky Adventures Arenal Is The Adventure Park In Costa Rica's Ultimate Travel Destination That Showcases A Magnificent Rainforest Forest And An Exciting Array Of Activities.

About Sky Adventures Arenal

Sky Adventures Arenal is an all-in-one eco-adventure park situated at the heart of Arenal’s rainforest in Costa Rica.

Perfectly located between Arenal’s lake and Arenal’s volcano, Sky Adventures Arenal has the best views above the Arenal area along with a wide array of adventurous activities.

Sky Adventures Arenal’s Motto is Safety First

Sky Adventures Arenal has been offering adventure tourism activities since 1997, featuring the strongest security protocols for adventure tour companies in the country. Sky Adventures Arenal’s motto is “Safety First,” making it stand out from the rest of the parks in Arenal and La Fortuna. Sky Adventures Arenal has no competition when it comes to safety standards.

Sky Adventures Arenal’s Top Activities

Sky Adventures Arenal features four main activities;

  • Sky Trek Arenal: a zipline course
  • Sky Tram Arenal: a gondola ride
  • Sky Walk Arenal: hanging bridges
  • Sky Limit Arenal: a course with multiple challenging activities

Sky Trek Arenal by Sky Adventures Arenal

Sky Trek Arenal is one of the best zipline courses in Costa Rica, featuring three main aspects:

  • Safety First*
  • Minimal walking is required.
  • The highest zipline in the country.
  • The fastest zipline in the country (up to 80 km / h (50 mi / h).
  • A 20-min ride on a Gondola (Sky Tram) to reach the first zip line.
  • Access to multiple viewpoints, including the famous Arenal’s hand.

*Sky Trek Arenal is the only zipline tour in Arenal and La Fortuna where you do not need to use a leather glove to slow down. Instead, you use a handlebar to brake without the risk of getting injured.

Other tour companies in the area feature zip lining experiences, but safety is not as robust as at Sky Trek Arenal. They give you a leather glove for braking. You use that glove to grab your zip line to slow down as you approach the next platform, which can cause injuries.

Even though this type of injury is uncommon, this risk is not present at Sky Trek Arenal, thanks to this handlebar braking system.

The Sky Trek Arenal zipline tour takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete the entire course, including a 20-min ride on an aerial tram to reach the first platform, viewpoints, and seven zip lines with astonishing views overlooking Arenal’s lake and volcano.

Sky Trek Arenal Quick Summary

• 7 lines of 100m (300ft) to 750m (2,460ft)

• Tram ride with fantastic views included

• Minimal walking is required

• Brake with handlebars

The minimal walking, tram ride, and safety protocols at Sky Trek Arenal make this a good choice for folks looking for a more natural, easy-going adventure. Especially recommended for families with kids (ages 5 and up).

Tripadvisor Reviews For Sky Adventures Arenal

Fantastic Experience! Sky Adventures Arenal

Our whole family did the sky bridge and sky tram, and my stepson and I continued on with the sky trek (zip line), which was fantastic! The whole thing is really well run, with a safety-first vibe the entire way through. Their braking system is the best in the area, which was the reason we choose them, and the entire experience reflected the company's commitment to creating a great experience for their guests.

Great Views, Awesome Hike Sky Adventures Arenal

Out of all the parks to do hanging bridges, this one seemed to suit us best for what we wanted. There is a nice little café there where we grabbed a quick bite before the hike. Somewhat pricey but delicious food and convenient. There was plenty of secure parking as well. The hike was not challenging at all and the views were amazing. A nice mix of green and open space with some animals and wildlife to see (if you're lucky).

Safe and Thrilling Sky Adventures Arenal

While staying in the Monteverde cloud forest we decided to go on the sky trek, sky walk and zip lines with Sky Adventures. We are glad we did. We are in our 80's and were concerned about the safety and our ability to keep up with the others in the group, all of whom were 40 years younger. We needn't have worried. It was easy, safe and thrilling. The trek over the high suspension hanging bridges was very interesting.

So Much Fun! Sky Adventures Arenal

We did the zip lining with our family of four - two adults, two teenage boys. We had an absolute blast. The zip lines are very long and you go very fast - it is definitely a thrill - but they take safety very seriously and the equipment all seems top notch. Everyone was so kind and funny, it was a great day. Also, when you take the tram to the top, you are at the top of the continental divide. It was a clear day so we could see to both coasts.
