1. 3-Hour Monteverde Bird Watching Tour:
The best option for tranquil bird watching fans with a moderate birding interest.
The Three-Hour Monteverde Bird Watching Tour is a guided birding tour around Monteverde’s open roads.
Monteverde is such an excellent bird-watching location that you don’t necessarily need to go into a private nature park to see a good number of birds.
Our experienced tour guides know the best hot spots for birding in town, and they will take you there so you can experience birding as a local.
Alternatively, you can enter one of the significant nature parks if you’re inclined and willing to pay for the entrance fees. When your tour day comes, ask your tour guide what birds you’d like to see, and he will recommend where to go (whether that’s a public area or a private nature park).
You may also have breakfast (not included) at a local birding restaurant.
2. 5-Hour Monteverde Bird Watching Tour:
The best option for serious birders with an advanced birding interest.
The Five-Hour Monteverde Bird Watching Tour is a highly specialized birding tour that combines Monteverde’s best public birding spots with a visit to Curi-Cancha Nature Reserve, the best nature park for bird-watching in Monteverde.
Curi-Cancha’s entrance fee is included on this tour. In addition to visiting this hot spot, you may see other nature parks, such as Finca San Luis, if you can get there (either with your vehicle or by using a taxi service we can arrange for you). The entrance fee to any other park than Curi-Cancha is not included in the rate.
When booking online, you can add comments to your reservation. You may use that field to inform us which birds are on your list so that we can do our due diligence to investigate where (if possible) those birds have been spotted recently.
Then, when your tour day comes, your tour guide will discuss your options so you can decide if you’d like to visit a nature park besides Curi-Cancha.
Given that this tour is five hours long, we highly recommend you opt-in to have breakfast (not included) at a local birding restaurant.
